Instrument Making

Get someone in to lead your group through making their own instruments out of junk – tin cans, yoghurt pots, piping, etc – and then perform on them.

Acoustic Arts promotes outdoor learning, play and environmental awareness through music and art and make instruments from around the world out of recycled material. In addition to supplying a range of outdoor musical instruments and bespoke installations, the Bristol-based group coordinates educational and community music projects for young people of all abilities.

Alphonse Touna - who can be contacted through Sul’Art – offers African zylophone making and playing.

Weapons of Sound – offer workshops on how to make instruments from junk (plus performing and DJing).
