Hannah Moore goes Into the Blue (July 2011)

Children from an inner-city primary school discover the power and wonder of the sea

Following up our earlier work with this primary school with mums (see Everything is Beautiful, I Think), we facilitated a class of Year 4 pupils to go on a 4-day trip to Pembrokeshire to learn about the power of the sea.  The group enjoyed a visit to Manobier Castle on the cliff, coasteering, horse-riding and visits to two local beaches and an adventure farm.  Hannah Moore Primary School teachers and community liaison staff have since reported that they are now inspired to take their children away to wilder places and spend more time in nature instead of adventure parks.

Take a look at the newsletter that the children produced about their trip into the blue.
